'Let Me See Those Nails Now, Bro': Caleb Williams Would Have Been Well Within His Rights To Knock This Kid Into Another Dimension

I'm generally pretty anti-field storming if you're a school like Notre Dame who just won a game as a home favorite over a USC team that we all knew wasn't very good. You're a ranked team that was supposed to win and you're one of the best programs in the history of college football. Act like you've been there before.

But more than that, it obviously leads to situations like this where college kids just trying to leave the field end up with drunk frat boys in their faces saying dumb shit and daring them to refrain from knocking the piss out of them, which Caleb Williams would have absolutely been within his rights to do. Violence is usually not the answer, but I would have defended Williams if he reached over and gave this kid what he had coming to him.

And let me also say that I really hate Caleb Williams. He seems like a real asshole and I don't think he's all that he's cracked up to be on the football field. So it takes a special kind of loser for me to root for Williams to turn around and clock him.

It's probably better for everyone involved that Williams was able to refrain from giving this kid what he was asking for, but this video could have been an internet all-timer if he would have thrown just one right hook. This LSU player from a couple weeks ago had the right idea on how to deal with this sort of situation.
