The Buccaneers Creamsicle Uniforms Have To Go

The Buccaneers wore their throwbacks today and there was a ton of buzz about it this off-season. They even filmed a big social video about it.

Everything leading up to today's game against their old NFC Central division rival, the Lions.

And I get it. They are the memorable uniform that the team debuted with (*they were 0-14 their first season and started 0-12 the next season) and the franchise donned those colors until 1996. Personally, I'm not a big creamsicle guy. I support the team and the movement, but I like their current uniforms. What I hate is losing. And that is what the Bucs did today in demoralizing fashion.

SIX POINTS!

THE LIONS WERE 9/16 ON 3rd DOWN!

NOT GOING FOR IT ON 4th & 2 WITH 11 MINUTES LEFT DOWN BY 14!

I actually became a Buccaneers fan in 1997, so I never had to endure the losing of the creamsicles. But after a return stint from 2009-2012, today's game makes me never want to see those things again.

Now I won't overreact. This team is still in 1st place in the NFC South and I do believe they are a playoff team in a weak division. The Saints got worked by the Texans today and the Falcons lost to the Commanders. So it's not like we're in the AFC North over here. I expect the Buccaneers to make the playoffs and I do hope we see the Lions again. They are a good football team. We were outclassed today, but I'm hopeful we can get on their level by mid-January. And while that seems like a long time from now, as long as we don't see any creamsicle uniforms, we should be fine.
