Steven Spielberg And Tom Hanks' WWII Series "Masters Of Air" Is FINALLY Set To Air On January 26th, 2024

(SOURCE) Austin Butler was featured in several first-look images from the upcoming war drama miniseries Masters Of The Air that were released on Thursday.

The 32-year-old actor was seen as Major Gale Cleven. Also pictured were his costars Barry Keoghan and Callum Turner.

The performer, who is also preparing for the wide release of an upcoming biker film, leads the cast of the program, which counts Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg among its executive producers.

If you've followed my ascent from a young, supple White Sox fan to internet superstar phen aka if you've listened to our snake drafts, you'd know that I suffer from Early Onset Republican:

And as noted theologians like Shane Gillis have discovered, one of the main side effects if Early Onset Republican is my fascination obsession with anything WWII related: documentaries, realistic fiction, books (loljk), YouTube shorts, whatever. Love learning about that period in world history because it shapes almost every ounce of who and what we are today. Butterfly effect shit.

Anyways, my favorite WWII related anything at all is Band of Brothers because of course it is. Here's the trailer:

Myself and a few of the guys at Barstool reference that miniseries almost ad nauseam and all agree that it's a work of art and will never be touched in terms of entertainment, plot, and with how you relate to each and every member of the 101st that Band of Brothers focused on.

Not even it's Pacific theater spinoff "The Pacific" (duh) came close:

So that's why I assume the 3rd spinoff, 'Masters of Air', won't make me feel the way Band of Brothers makes me feel - it's just simply an impossibility. That doesn't mean I don't also assume it won't be incredible at the same time, especially with both Spielberg and Hanks sinking their meaty paws into it.

Now we just gotta tough out 3 short months before we can binge the fuck out of it. FINALLY, motherfuckers. Here's the trailer synopsis from Gary Goetzman, executive producer:

“Masters of the Air is a salute to the brave men of the 8th Air Force, who, through their courage and brotherhood, helped defeat Nazi Germany in World War II,” said executive producer Goetzman. “Tom and Steven have always wanted to visualize cinematically what our author Don Miller has called this ‘singular event in the history of warfare.’

And if you're looking for another deep dive into the 8th Air Force, here's a quick video breakdown of the unit:

Cannot fucking wait. Band of Brothers nuts have been waiting MONTHS for a release date to be announced. Hopefully it took so long to finally release because they were treating this with meticulous precision and plan on knocking it out of the park. Let's ride.
