The Cubs' Bozo Broadcasters Were On The Verge Of A Mental Breakdown When Their Game With The Braves Was Briefly Paused After Ronald Acuña Stole His 70th Base

Jon Sciambi may not be able to sleep tonight after being forced to witness this shocking sequence in Atlanta.

After Ronald Acuña Jr. became the first player in Major League history to hit 40 home runs and steal 70 bases in a season, the game was paused for probably 90 seconds so he could collect the historic base and take a moment to be recognized by the home crowd for his achievement. This was akin to him taking off his pants and flashing the crowd, to hear the Cubs' booth tell it.

I understand why broadcasters for the Chicago Cubs would be confused by this, but sometimes games are paused when players do something really good — much less something no player in the history of the sport has ever come close to doing. Thankfully for them, Ozzie Albies took it upon himself to end the game on the next pitch and send the Cubs further into their spiral and currently out of a postseason spot.

I just hope these guys are able to get out of bed in the morning and make their way to the ballpark again after watching something so horrifying and disgusting take place at Truist Park. Ronald Acuña should be arrested, honestly.
