Travis Kelce Is Glad We All Had Our Fun This Weekend, But Now He Wants To Respect Taylor Swift's Privacy Moving Forward
"You know, I brought all this attention to me. I did the whole friendship bracelet thing and told everyone how butthurt that I couldn't meet her - you miss 100% of the shots you don't take! What's real is that it is my personal life and I want to respect both of our lives. She's not into media like I am doing this show every single week and having fun during the NFL season on other guys shows. And any other show I go on from here on out. I am enjoying life and I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend and so everything moving forward, me talking about sports and saying "alright nah" is kind of have to be where I keep it."
Bravo, bravo, bravo. This is PR 101. I'm willing to bet Travis got a little tip from Tree Paine on this one and I, for one, am thrilled to see it.
This episode of New Heights featuring Travis and his brother Jason Kelce might end up being the most listened to podcast episode in the world. I'm not even kidding. I had girlfriends texting me details at 8am, not even wanting to wait until 9am when the YouTube version dropped. The Swiftie accounts online are running his quotes like they're reporting live from the scene of a press conference. It's tremendous.
All of the real Swifties knew that this massive display of public affection/attention is totally out of Taylor's comfort zone. This is where a lot of my hesitation came from - WE JUST DON'T WANT MOTHER TO GET HURT! As always, she can handle literally anything this earth hands her, and she can have fun with it. Credit where credit is due for Travis, who also had his fun and now knows the magnitude of all that attention when it comes to Taylor. It's time to play it cool if we're looking for this to have any "endgame."
The Taylor talk starts around 28 minutes in. Here are a few more quotes from the show, of course corny ass Travis can't help himself "Shoutout to Taylor for pulling up" LOL:
Well played, sir! We'll STILL BE WATCHING!
(PS - the sigh of relief that I let out after they didn't bring up my screaming video is a high that will carry me through the end of the week. TYSM Jason Kelce for being cool and joking around online. I would actually jump off a building if Taylor saw that video.)
