Somebody At ESPN Belongs In Jail For Constantly Going Split Screen Between These Two Monday Night Football Games

I'm old enough to remember a time when there was only one Monday Night Football game per week. But the NFL is a greedy little bastard and wants to sell as many primetime ads as humanly possible, so we have to deal with 2 MNF games nowadays. While that's not the end of the world on its own, this broadcast might drive enough folks beyond their breaking point and then the end of the world might actually be upon us.

For some godforsaken reason, some shit stain running the broadcast feels the need to constantly go split screen between the two games. Let me be abundantly clear right now--there is not a single soul in Philadelphia right now who gives a fuck about this Rams vs Bengals game. Not a one. You don't need to show us any action from the game. Heck, you don't even need to keep their score bug in the top left corner of the screen. Nobody gives a shit about that game in Philly. If people want to watch the Rams vs Bengals, they can just flip the channel. If people want to watch the Rams vs Bengals, they'll have multiple tv's going. But for the love of god, don't cut away to a split screen in the middle of the game to show us Joe Burrow's fucking face as we have a 2nd & 9 in Bucs territory.

I'd say whoever is making that call deserves to be fired, but if they come out of halftime and knock that shit off then maybe we can just call it even there. Never produce another broadcast again. But if they come out in the 2nd half and keep going split screen during gameplay? Right to jail. Throw away the keys. They can't be trusted to roam the world freely ever again.

Sidenote: if you don't throw them in jail, the least you can do is let Jalen Carter have a running start and rock their shit.

Go Birds.
