Cavs President Koby Altman Pleaded Not Guilty To Drinking And Driving, But The Body Cam Footage Of Him Nearly Falling Down Seems To Say Otherwise

Jesus, Cleveland. Get your shit together. The Browns looked like a complete and utter dumpster fire last night, and now tonight we've got this video coming out our the Cavs President of Basketball Operations, Koby Altman, getting arrested for driving drunk. I guess it's true that when it rains it pours, but in the case of the city of Cleveland, it's been like a 50 year fucking monsoon. Pure embarrassment 24/7.

The good news is the Koby says he is INNOCENT:

The bad news is that he damn near fell over during his sobriety test on the side of the highway:

Must've been a windy day in Cleveland! Or I guess it's possible that after crossing over the lane line and failing his sobriety test, he could've been drinking. Can I get a blood alcohol level, please? I'm intrigued.

And obviously OVIs aren't funny, but there's no rule that says you can't laugh at the body cam footage. So I'll admit I did laugh when Koby asks the officer if he's allowed to practice the sobriety test before performing it. I don't hate the mindset that you never go into a game unprepared though. That's the kind of guy I want running my organization, trading for Donovan Mitchell, making draft picks, etc. However maybe next time, instead of preparing for the sobriety test, we could prepare better by calling an Uber?

And how about when he tells the officer that he is messing him up? Cut the bullshit Koby. When the officer asked you how he's messing you up, shoot him straight with a "because I'm drunk as fuck".

I don't know what the protocol here is moving forward. Does he have to lose his job over this? I'd think not. But then again, do we really want this man making decisions for the organization when he's a millionaire that can't even make the decision to call an Uber….?
