Deion Sanders Sunglasses Line Has Done Over $1 Million in Sales Since Colorado States Coach Comments

CBS Sports - The only person happier to hear that trash talk than Sanders was probably Blenders CEO and founder Chase Fisher. He told USA Today that pre-orders of their new Prime 21 sunglasses have shot through the roof ever since Norvell called out Sanders for wearing his shades all the time.

Thanks to Norvell, Sanders might pocket even more money than he could have ever hoped. The feud between the in-state rivals has proven to be a gold mine for Blenders.

"I've never gotten more calls, emails, texts, in the last 24-48 hours and the last two weeks than I have in the last 11 years," Fisher said.

Well that's gotta be annoying for Jay Norvell. For all coaches really. All the guys who grinded there asses off from high school, to community college, to Division 6 and so on and so forth, to maybe someday get a shot to coach a dog shit FBS that gets the piss beat out of them year in and year out like Colorado State. Then Deion Sanders rolls out of bed, all the best transfers in college football come to him, and he immediately makes millions of extra dollars with his line of cartoonish sunglasses.

If a handful of tweets are to be believed (I can't imagine the internet would lie to me) they sold $1.2 million in Deion Sanders branded sunglasses on Friday alone.

I know to say Deion Sanders just rolled out of bed and got a competitive D1 football team isn't entirely fair. He spent his whole life playing football, was one of the best players of all-time, etc. etc. But you know that's exactly how most of these struggling coaches think. And you know it drives them fucking crazy. That's why Jay Norvell couldn't help himself. He just had to take a shot at the glasses. Now he's going to be seeing those goofy ass shades in his sleep for the of his life...unless he wins.

The Deion Sanders hype train is bound to hit a bump in the road eventually. They had College Gameday in Boulder today. Colorado is a -23.5 point favorite. Idk.. seems a little too easy. If I were a betting man, I wouldn't mind sprinkling a little money on CSU +1000 money line.

Also, the thought of thousands of white kids in Boulder, Colorado walking around campus in their enormous flashy full-face covering sunglasses and Patagonia sweatshirts is a pretty funny visual. I understand how cool they look on Deion Sanders and the Division 1 football players, but I be campus looks ridiculous. What should we set the over/under of University of Colorado students going as Deion Sanders for Halloween at? Colorado has an enrollment of about 33,000, so conservatively I'll set the number at say... 30,000? That sounds about right.
