"I Don't See Why We Can't Get Two More Championships" - Draymond Green Sure Sounds Confident That The Warriors Dynasty Isn't Anywhere Close To Being Over

Now because this is Draymond, I'm sure the internet will clown him for making such a statement. You factor in the age of their core, the uncertainty that Klay Thompson will be a Warrior after this year (currently in the final year of his deal), and with how stacked the West is, of course there are going to be some out there that think Draymond is high off his ass to suggest more titles are on the way.

You know who isn't going to do that?

Me.

Why? Well, that should go without saying, but…

I've lived it. I know firsthand (well not really firsthand but you know what I mean) how devastating the Warriors Dynasty can be. I may not know much, but what I do know is that as long as Steph Curry is breathing, the Warriors are alive and should absolutely be considered a threat to win the title. I know they just lost in 6 to the Lakers this past Spring, but it's not like they got their asses kicked. The Lakers won Game 1 by just 5 points and Game 4 by just 3 points. Things could have easily swung in GS' favor if a few bounces went a different way. That series didn't tell us that the Warriors as a title contender were on life support, so I can understand why Draymond feels this way.

Of course, there's now a new element to this equation that previous Warriors Dynasty teams never had to deal with, which is the CP3 curse. We're already hearing rumblings about how Kerr plans to start Paul which makes little to no sense, and I think you could make the case that at this point, any team with CP3 on the roster is straight-up cursed when it comes to winning the title. It doesn't matter how good that team is, something always comes up. Maybe the fact that GS won't have to rely on CP3's production in the same way his previous stops did, but I'm not sure it matters. Sometimes the Basketball Gods simply decide you are not winning a title in your career and that's all there is to it.

As long as the GS core remains healthy, I just think there's no way you don't give them the benefit of the doubt. That's the perk you get being a Dynasty. I could understand if they hadn't won a title since the KD era…..but they did (sigh). I know that GS is a dogshit team on the road (11-30) and they were barely a 6 seed last season, but I don't really care. I know what it's like to have to watch your favorite team try and beat these guys 4 times. It seems impossible as Steph does whatever the hell he wants whenever the hell he wants.

I would expect nothing less from Draymond when it comes to this topic, he's a confident guy. What makes this different from when some other players have a similar take is the fact that we know GS can do it. If they lose Klay? I think that changes things a little bit since their cap is such a disaster they have no real way to replace him with a high level player.

But what I do know is that until the Warriors are truly dead and buried and that dynasty is broken up for good, keeping them in the title conversation isn't all that crazy.
