Holy Shit, The Lions Just Beat The Chiefs!

I’m feeling a weird feeling. It’s something I’ve seen many of my coworkers feel in the past, but I really feel it. That feeling is happiness. Holy shit, I can’t believe this just happened. I’ll let my posting video speak for itself. I don’t want to hear about what bad breaks the Kansas City Chiefs caught tonight. Actually, they didn’t catch much of anything. Did you watch Toney tonight? (waka waka). 

Expectations are very fair for this Lions team. Nobody is calling for a Super Bowl championship. What this fan base has been yearning for for so long is a season that we can follow from beginning to end. This may finally be the team that breaks through. There were so many instances in this game in which I felt like the Lions would do what I’ve seen them do in the past. They were so close, but the writing was on the wall when they handed the ball back to Mahomes with just over two minutes left. Apparently, this defense didn’t get the memo. They stood up and shut down the best player in football. 

As I said at the end of my video, it would be the most Lions thing in the world to lay an egg against Seattle next week. I’m not thinking about that. You have to enjoy this moment. These small breaths of fresh air or things we’ve experienced as Detroit fans in recent memory. I’m not going to make any predictions about how the rest of the season will play out, but I sure as hell know that this team will be entertaining. It feels different. And it feels really good.
