BARSTOOL EXCLUSIVE PREMIER - Country Legend Wheeler Walker Jr. Looks to Take Over the Rock World with his New Single "Fuck This Job"

In 2023, making it in music isn't what it used to be. Everyone and their mother has the access to the recording equipment necessary to make a song with the hopes of becoming the next big thing. Yet, with so much music readily available at our fingertips, few artists can create records that truly get to the core of what it means to be a human being living in the modern world.

Wheeler Walker Jr is the exception to the rule. For those unfamiliar with the man dubbed "The Pussy King", allow me to introduce you to some choice offerings from his discography:

Since hitting the scene in 2016 with his debut "Redneck Shit" , Wheeler Walker Jr. has charmed the world with his own brand of classic, outlaw country, tinged with a genuinely dirty twist that's captivated the masses & pissed off the current Pop Country machine that runs Nashville. Wheeler's devil-may-care attitude towards his country contemporaries and their spin on the genre has resulted in some infamous beefs, which include (but not limited to) Florida Georgia Line, Carrie Underwood, & Jason Aldean. But do you think Ol' Wheeler gives a fuck? The Answer is NO.

With four records under his belt, Wheeler Walker Jr. is set to drop his new album "RAM" on September 15th. Unlike his previous 4 offerings, "RAM" is a southern rock album more in line with ZZ Top than Waylon Jennings. Produced by Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Zach Bryan, Chris Stapleton), this rock & roll turn for Walker promises to challenge the status quo for what rock music is in 2023. “I used to be the king of country, Now I’m gonna be the king of rock ‘n’ roll. Dan +Shay used to be my competition. Now it’s Greta Van Fleet. Same sh*t, different day.” says Walker.

And thank the fucking lord for that. Rock music needs Wheeler Walker Jr. A man not afraid of the repercussions of his own lyrics and persona. A man willing to sing about his sexual depravity and shortcomings in sunglasses and a cowboy hat. You know, rock stuff.

THANKFULLY, we get to premiere the video for his new single "Fuck This Job". The single, shot as an homage to the recently viral "Rich Men North of Richmond" video by Oliver Anthony, is a giant fuck you to the classic 9-to-5 career path set to overdriven Gibsons and a no-holds-barred attitude.

“I got into music for two reasons: 1) So I would never have a boss again and 2) So I could tell every boss I ever had to fuck off. I hope every prick I ever worked for hears this.”

A-fuckin'-men, brother. I'm sure 99% of the public reading this just got a half-chub just reading that quote in their cubicle.
