Gross: Ethan Hawke Directed His Daughter's Sex Scene

Complex - When asked about directing his daughter in sex scenes, Ethan said "We were so comfortable with it. I couldn't care less," while adding he was more concerned about taking care of Maya's scene partners Casal and Hoffman.

"We made sure to have an intimacy coordinator on set for them. So that they felt safe and comfortable and not like they were being spied on," said Maya before being interrupted by her father. "… by some creepy dad," Ethan said.

In an interview with Variety, Ethan Hawke and his daughter Maya discussed filming two sex scenes in a new movie that Ethan is directing and Maya is staring in. 

The movie is called "Wildcat" and it stars Maya Hawke as Flannery O'Connor, a novelist. The movie was released September 1st, and honestly I did not hear anything about it! 

Ethan Hawke said that he was "comfortable" directing her sex scenes and that he "couldn't care less". I think this is so fucking weird. I could NEVER in a million years do this but I guess that's what comes with the gig. I can't even kiss a boy in front of my dad without feeling extremely uncomfortable. 

If anything, maybe someone should have stepped in?? Maybe left them alone for the scene?? I just find this to be so absurd but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess! 

I guess if your dad is Ethan Hawke, why the fuck would you not want to star in whatever he is putting out?? You gotta use your family resources well, trust me I would know!
