T's & P's For Andrew McCutchen Who Just Tore His Achillies At 36-Years-Old And 299 Home Runs

PITTSBURGH -- Andrew McCutchen's feel-good season is over. The Pittsburgh Pirates designated hitter is heading to the 10-day injured list after partially tearing his left Achilles tendon while legging out a double in a victory over Milwaukee on Monday night.

Dang nabbit. It doesn't matter if you're a fan of the Pirates, Giants, Phillies, Brewers or any team Andrew McCutchen has played on - If you're human (Yankees fans were omitted for a reason), you have to LOVE Cutch. He's not only a great ballplayer who was the best in the league at one point, but he's a great, genuine dude. The man has been in the league since 2009 and I don't think I've ever seen ANYTHING even close to negative about him. He's always been down to Earth and joking around. Shit, during Cutch's Pizza Review with Dave over 5 years ago, Frankie said he was legitimately the nicest guy in the world.

McCutchen obviously isn't the same player he was when he won NL MVP in 2013, but in the clubhouse and off the field he's always been one of the best. It's just a darn shame. Good to see Cutch won't be going down swinging. He should be going out on his own terms. Long Live Cutch.

PS - Remember, Lawrence Mccutcheon died so Andrew McCutchen can live forever.
