Caleb Williams' Dad Says That His Son May Return To School Next Year If The Team Picking Number One Overall Isn't To Their Liking

This is where it gets dicey because when you are the consensus #1 pick overall you should probably just go no matter what. He isn't the first one to ever say this, but it's impossible to not come out looking like an asshole when you do. The mentality to have here is that wherever you go you can turn them around by yourself. At the same time, being on a horrific team with a terrible front office just sucks.

I am taking both sides in a sense because when you are the best at something you should have your choice on what you want to do. If the Cardinals are the number one pick and he decides that it isn't best for him he will have a big uphill battle after that with the public.

He also risks a major injury happening next year at school which would tank his future. NIL helps for sure, but the big bucks you get in the NFL is tough to pass up. I think it is an insane thing to go back to college and risk all of that, the entire world knows you are the best QB in college and whoever the team is picking #1 will be taking you. Just look at what Burrow did with the Bengals. They were a joke and he's turned them into a perennial contender.

I do love when parents talk like this because you know Caleb Williams texted his dad today telling him to shut the fuck up. Even if Caleb thinks that, why put that out in the public just a few weeks into the college football season. Just keep quiet and take care of your business while everyone is to the moon about you. Again we need a common sense department for all athletes and families.  I can help them all.
