NHL Team: Montreal Canadiens

Conference: Eastern

Division: Atlantic

2022-23 Recap: Chiclets’ two-time guest Marty St. Louis had this young team showing flashes of what could be, but their depth was the Achilles Heel. They do not have enough talent to compete every night especially if any of their top players get hurt. Last season was a disappointment for the storied franchise with the best locker room hot dogs in the league.

Biggest Loss: Joel Edmunson - Steady Eddy D-man will be missed but he needed to be moved to open up ice time for young guys.  Who will take on the leadership void left by this loss?

Biggest Addition: Alex Newhook - Avs 1st round pick never really popped off in Denver and needed a change of scenery. Could say he is a similar player to Marty St. Louis so this could be a perfect fit. He has a Stanley Cup ring so players will listen to him and will be a great 2nd line center behind Suzuki.

2024 OUTLOOK: Continue to give experience to the young core and maintain the rebuild.

Player To Watch: Kaiden Guhle - 1st round pick from 2020 played 44 games last season on the backend.  This is a young player that has to be around for the future and this season will outline how much time the Canadiens want to invest.

2023-2024 Season Bet: Under team, total points 71.5 -110, play the overs nightly.
