Braves Pitcher Darius Vines Made His MLB Debut And His Mom's Interview Is The Best Thing You'll Watch Today

I know everybody is excited for football season, but there's still nothing like baseball.

Darius Vines made his Major League debut for the Braves on Wednesday night, allowing just two runs on four hits over six innings — the first visiting pitcher to give up two or fewer runs in six or more innings in a debut at Coors Field. The Braves' broadcast interviewed his family after Darius finished the stellar outing and it's just an awesome watch.

The Vines family was also shown holding a sign throughout the game that read "R. Vines would be proud", a reference to Darius's father Randi, who passed away last year.

How can you not root for this guy now? I believe I speak for all of Braves Country when I say if Yonny Chirinos gets another start over Vines, we will riot. Vines has earned the opportunity to hold down the fifth spot in the rotation for the last month of the season after seeing what he was able to do in Denver.

What a great story.
