Of Course Brian Cashman Didn't Have The Decency To Inform Harrison Bader That He Was Being Placed On Waivers - The Yankees Outfielder Had To Find Out While Watching TV

The Yankees are in full "play the kids" spring training mode and with that means the dumping of expiring veterans. Josh Donaldson was finally shown the door yesterday and soon after that we got word that outfielder Harrison Bader was being placed on waivers. It's kind of a bummer to hear, but I get it. Bader's postseason power surge didn't translate to 2023. The injury bug that's plagued him throughout his career came to surface once again while the offense just wasn't there vs. righties. With Jasson Dominguez's promotion on the near horizon (hopefully) Bader serves no purpose for the current Yankees team as we enter the final month of the regular season.

Bader can definitely help a contending team, however, so the Yankees are seeing if someone wants to pick up his remaining check in exchange for his services down the stretch. Throw him out there vs. a lefty and you're getting an impact bat with elite defense.

He can help.

Bader should have been traded at the deadline. Sure he wouldn't have fetched much, but this team was going nowhere and you could have at least gotten something in return. Instead Cashman didn't buy or sell and decided to trust in nothing but hope that things would turn around. Now it's come to this.

Unfortunately the Yankees these days manage to fuck up every attempt of being a competent organization. They failed to inform Bader that he was being placed on waivers. He found out while watching TV…

What a shit-show. It's a move you expect to hear from the Mets or the Browns. Is Harrison Bader a superstar? By no means, but he's still owed the decency of being informed the team is likely moving him. Having him find that out from the TV sucks so much.

All this does is further show how much of a loser Brian Cashman is. What an asshole.

Remember how he handled Jeter and Judge's contract negotiations? They asked him to keep it private, but he had to open his mouth. Just a bad business man.

Fire. Brian Cashman and don't tell him. Let him roll up to Yankee Stadium one day and allow him try his key card a billion times until he gets the hint.
