This Angle Of A Nasty Serve From The U.S. Open Proves We Don't Talk Enough About How Hard Tennis Is

You wanna know how fucking hard it is to play professional tennis? The guy who served that ball, Milos Raonic, lost this match in straight sets.

I don't know where I'd put tennis in terms of the most difficult sports to play at the highest level, but I know it doesn't get enough respect. I'd consider hitting a baseball to be the hardest thing to do in sports, but returning that serve doesn't look a hell of a lot easier. That's basically a 100 MPH slider tailing 15 feet away from you. Insane.

There was a debate in the office recently about whether one of us could win a single point off Carlos Alcaraz in a three-set match. I was adamant you could get one on a double fault if that counted, but now I'm honestly not sure. A second serve with that kind of movement at even 70 MPH is not returnable by any layman. All he'd have to do is keep it in.

In my non-expert opinion, Raonic should probably try to hit that serve every time. Just a suggestion.
