I Wrestled Chief At Belal Muhammad's UFC Gym Yesterday

Yesterday, myself Ed and Chief made the trek out to the near west burbs to hang with Belal Muhammad at his gym for a few hours. Needless to say, as soon as Ryan and I walked in our primitive male instincts kicked in and we had to scrap:

I am going to keep the rest of this blog short and sweet.

He got me.

For once in his life, he got me. This is a FAR cry from what happened at Northwestern when I both ran him over and tackled him behind the LOS:

On that note, I will say the following:

1. Again, he got me. He wins. By my scorecard it's either 2-0, 2-1 (brief escape?) or 4-0 Chief.
2. He will not get me again.

On the note of point two, this is 100% the absolute truth of what happened. He took me by surprise. I honestly thought I'd have his ass on his back, especially the moment I had that brief escape (if that was even technically an escape) and that I'd have control of the rest of the match. Nope. Wrong. He immediately resumed back control and it surprised the fuck outta me.

Good on Chief. He wins this one. He will not win the next one. I am sure we'll wind up in a wrestling gym, at a MMA event or in a space we can have a rematch and I will not take him lightly. No excuses. Don't care that he's 60 pounds more than me. Don't care that I've never wrestled a day in my life. Don't care that he just resumed back control for the whole period to get the riding time point.

Doesn't matter. I'm the better athlete and lost, and to me, that's all that matters in the end.

Go ahead and have your internet laughs at my expense. Chief wins this one.
