A Letter To Knicks Fans Everywhere: Let's All Agree To Not Waste Our Time And Care About These Rumors Of Giannis Playing For The Knicks

Let's get straight to the point. I don't care. I don't care about these reports one bit. I'm not going to look at photoshops, dishes, nothing. Why would I? I'm 36 and have been burned by these sort of reports my entire life. You name the player, you name the Knicks rumor, it has yet to work out.

Except for Jalen Brunson. He's worked out. Those reports were awesome.

But as much as I love Jalen Brunson and the team we have, he's not Giannis. That's why I'm not getting excited. The whole Giannis leaving Milwaukee thing feels like it's been around for 3-4 years now? I'm starting to get sick of it and honestly just get to the point of skipping any of these stories. This is what happens when you lived through LeBron, Chris Paul, Durant, etc with the free agency/trade rumors. There's no point to ever believe these until it actually happens.

Don't get me wrong, if Giannis wants to come here, I'll go pick him up. I'll drive my ass from Cincinnati to New York and wait for him. Don't tempt me there. But I'm not going to sit here for days, weeks, months, YEARS, and wait for it to happen. I'm not going to get teased with rumors of him wanting out and eyeing New York as a spot to play at. Every player says that!

I'm just going to focus on who we have. A bunch of former Villanova players, RJ Barrett, Julius Randle, Immanuel Quickley and Quentin Grimes. I'm officially done with the photoshop game. I'm officially done with getting hopes up that a big star is leaving and demanding to come to New York. This team is fun as hell not to mention pretty good! Let's just focus on that for now.

This is my plea for Knicks fans everywhere. No getting excited about Giannis. We only care about our guys. See ya in a few months when this comes back up.
