Corbin Carroll's Parents Reaction To Seeing His Bobblehead For The First Time Is The Most Wholesome Shit You'll See All Week

What is it about bobbleheads, man? There’s something about bobbleheads that just hits differently in Major League Baseball. If you have a bobblehead made of you, that means you made it. I’m just fascinated by the idea of bobbleheads in general. How high was the inventor of bobbleheads when he made his first one? It’s such a unique and somewhat ridiculous idea, but it’s always cool.

Tomorrow, the Arizona Diamondbacks will be giving out a Corbin Carroll bobblehead to the fans at Chase Field, and Mr. and Mrs. Carroll got the chance to be some of the first to see the design. It’s such a wholesome moment. Honestly, credit them for keeping it together. If I’ve ever had a kid who made it to the Major Leagues and got a bobblehead made out of him, I probably would have 100 different versions of that thing. I’d sell them to people so that I could buy them back.

Corbin Carroll is a prime example of a guy living his best life right now. He’s likely a lock to win National League Rookie Of The Tear. He earned himself a nice contract extension before the season even started, and he immediately became a franchise player for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Even though the Diamondbacks went through a brutal stretch, where they were the worst team in baseball for a month, they still find themselves in playoff contention. Carroll is a huge reason for that. He is dealing with his lingering shoulder issue. The fact that he’s been able to play through it and put up some pretty productive numbers is a testament to how good he is.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Corbin Carroll is among one of the youngest players to have a bobblehead made of them. He's only 22 years old. Earlier this season at Comerica Park, they handed out Riley Greene bobbleheads. Riley Greene is the same age as Corbin Carroll. On that day, the Tigers actually threw a combined no-hitter against the Blue Jays in a game I was at. Naturally, because I'm a dumbass, I left the bobblehead at our seats during all the commotion. I don't know if there's any correlation between Bobblehead days for your franchise player and on-the-field success. I guess we'll find out tomorrow at Chase Field.
