I Single Handedly Saved Barstool Sports - You're Welcome Everyone

I'll keep this short (for me) because it is all self explanatory. Those of us who have been around for multiple presidencies know that the Pick Em show really embodies what Barstool Sports is all about. Dave and Dan being degenerates. Rico being off the hinges. Picks on games that don't make a lick of sense. All across America, groups of 3 friends are having identical conversations. True "common man" scenes. 

We all know that last year a tornado came through and blew Rico completely off those hinges so I don't need to re-litigate anything. Many of you know that after Rico made the biggest bonehead move in the history of this company and attempted to come crawling back, Dave told him he would have to talk to me first. Credit to Dave, he has a moral compass. Dave said the only way Rico could come back was if I was okay with it.  

Now, as someone who has been around a while I considered the ramifications of my decisions. 

I ultimately decided to forgive Rico for his heinous actions and in turn, Dave welcomed him back to Barstool. Rico has apologized multiple times (in person, over the phone, via text) and I truly believe he is remorseful. Since then, I've followed Rico on social (he hasn't followed me back yet. Weird), we've texted on various topics, and I've pumped content he's apart of since. There are even rumblings of a home and home next summer with Djais and Parker. TBD on date. 

Part of that content was the premiere last night of Pick Em...and it delivered! Even to the tune of Rico potentially receiving new duties as consigliere of the Barstool Chicago bar! 

To the Stoolies, you're welcome. With Dave taking back control of Barstool, it is important that we lift everyone up, give shine to our shows, and all march to the beat of the same drum. Without shows like Pick Em allowed to be full throttle, Barstool Sports as we've all known and loved it for the last 20 years would cease to exist. Some are calling me a hero. I say I'm just a team-first guy. 

Pick Em is back and it's going to be great. 

P.S. The craziest part of this entire saga with Rico the last few years is that I actually respect folks who show blind loyalty to their team as it's a quality I pride myself on so Rico and I had more in common than he allowed himself to realize.
