The Yankees Have Lost 9 Games In a Row For The First Time Since 1982 - Fire Brian Cashman

The Yankees just lost their ninth consecutive baseball game, giving them their longest such streak since 1982. They recorded two base hits on Tuesday night against the Nationals, who entered this game with the second worst ERA in the NL. There were three engagement proposals in the stadium. More proposals than hits. The two hits came off the bat of Ben Rortvedt, who entered Tuesday's contest batting below .100.

They've reached a point not even their biggest skeptics could have never imagined. It is hard to watch Giancarlo Stanton swing a bat these days and there's four more years left on his deal. He ain't going ANYWHERE. The other vets are just as lifeless.

Sure, they called up two kids today in Everson Pereira and Oswald Peraza. They should have been here over a month ago, but the organization lacks urgency all over the damn place. The young guys will take time to get adjusted, but giving them a large look right now will help for next year and beyond. It's still on the vets to show up and do something. Getting dominated by Washington Nationals pitching as you're trying to get off an historic snide is beyond embarrassing. None of the guys listed below were alive the last time they were this bad.

Look at the overall numbers during the losing streak

It's crazy, man. Heads need to roll and there's one domino that must go first.

Tomorrow they go for 10 in a row. If they achieve that level of incompetence they'll join the 1913 Yankees, the first year they were called that name. Insane stuff.
