They Wouldn't Have Lasted A Day In MW2 Lobbies: Xbox Implements An "8-Strike Rule" That Will Ban You From Multiplayer For An Entire Year If You're Too Toxic

8 strikes, you're out according to Xbox's new enforcement system. Listen, I'm all for anti-bullying measures but this may be the softest thing I've ever seen. MW2 lobbies back in the day used to be pure chaos. The things that were said in those lobbies would get you cancelled to Bolivian within 5 minutes these days. You would have had guys reach their 8 strike limit in one 6 round Search and Destroy game. Here's what they're saying about it:

The introduction of the "8-Strike Rule" by Xbox to combat toxic gameplay shows the platform's commitment to creating a more positive gaming environment. By implementing consequences such as a year-long ban from multiplayer games and social features after the 8th strike, Xbox aims to encourage respectful behavior among players. This could contribute to a better online gaming experience for everyone involved and foster a more inclusive and enjoyable community.

Respectful behavior that fosters a more inclusive and enjoyable community? Good fucking luck with that. All I'm gathering from that is that gamers these days wouldn't last a day in anyone above the age of like 30's shoes. They call it bullying, I call it growing up. You think I'd be able to handle hundreds of comments calling me an AI robot if I didn't play Xbox growing up? No, I'd go cry in the corner and you'd never read a blog from me ever again. And who would be better off from that? No one!

And what is PlayStation doing about this? They foster bullying over there? I don't game anymore, but when GTA 6 comes out it might be time to head over to the fellas at Sony. Some things have to remain sacred. Good luck Xbox.
