Daryl "Moose" Johnston Had A Simple, But Incredible Comeback To An Entire Stadium Of Philadelphia Fans Calling Him An Asshole

Ahhhh, Philly fans. They will always be in a category of their own. Just another story of Philly being Philly was told on Monday's Pardon My Take, when former Dallas Cowboy FB Daryl "Moose" Johnston joined the show.

Moose has accomplished a lot in his post-playing career, and right now, he is a broadcaster for the NFL on FOX. He explained to Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on the show that he was once prepping in the booth and getting ready to call a game in Philadelphia, when a loud chant of "ASSHOLE... ASSHOLE... ASSHOLE..." could be heard at Lincoln Financial Field. The reason for that? The Super Bowl Champion and former rival of the Eagles had his face up on the Jumbotron at the stadium.

Coincidentally, Moose was wearing one of his THREE Super Bowl rings at the stadium, and he had a simple, yet damaging reaction to those chants: he just flashed his ring up to the camera. Silent, but deadly. And as Moose explained, this was before the Eagles had won their first Super Bowl in 2018.

As Moose mentioned a few seconds later, a compliment from an Eagles fan is actually the best one he can get. The ones who tell him, "I hated the Cowboys, hated your team, but always respected the way you played the game" were the ones that stood out.

At the end of the day, the Eagles and Cowboys hated (and still hate) each other, but the respect is still there on both sides. Love to see it. Be sure to listen to Moose Johnston's full interview on Monday's PMT!
