It's Called Soccer: Messi Speaks No Lies And Claims The US Men's National Team Has Become A Major Force In The World Cup

What are you going to do? Argue against Messi? Good luck. The man clearly knows the game. He's the greatest player of this era. So if he says the US Men's National Team has become a major force at the World Cup, then clearly, we're winning the whole damn thing in 2026. Sure, we may have lost in the Round of 16 but that's simply because of Gregg Berhalter. At least that's what I'm telling myself. Maybe if we had a couple better strikers on the roster or if he figured out a way to beat England and win the group we'd be talking differently.

Some may say this is Messi just sucking up to the media since this was the first time he spoke since joining Inter Miami, but why would he lie? He doesn't need to hype up the US Men's National Team unless he thinks it's warranted. Some may say he's a little scared of Argentina losing to us in Copa America next year. Clearly trying to get ahead of the story before we look like a favorite to win in 2026, hopefully, please.

It's not a hot take to say this is the most talent we've ever had within the US men's soccer team. We have guys playing at top levels in Europe all over the place. We finally have some depth. Our younger guys are winning shit. Now it's just a matter of forcing Gregg out again and getting a manager that can put all of this together.

All I know is if Messi says we're a force, we're a force. I'm not going to argue against a man who knows soccer.
