"Lol Hat Emoji": Deshaun Watson Seems To Have An Issue With Eagles Reporter Stating Facts
Diamond Images. Getty Images.If there's one thing we've learned about Deshaun Watson over the past few years, it's that he really doesn't like when facts get brought to light. So with the Cleveland Browns in town this week to practice with the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of their preseason matchup tonight, Eagles reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks did just that when he tweeted out this assessment of Watson's performance at practice, as well as some stats down at the end.

The Eagles defense definitely got the better of Watson during the joint practices
Watson had a few really nice throws at times, beating good coverage with better throws. His arm definitely has the ability to make special throws The pass rush definitely got the better of Watson as he was really only effective in 7v7, not 11v11.
The Eagles pressure forced Watson into some bad decisions, and in two days, they ended up picking him off as many times as they allowed INTs
Stats on Day 2: 7/16, 3 TD, 2 INT Overall in two days: 17/33, 3 TD, 3 INT
I certainly wouldn't qualify this as a glowing assessment. But it's not like he went out there and sewered the guy. He said he made a few really nice throws at times, but also some bad decisions, and then added in the stat line to back up that reporting. That all seems fair and reasonable. But not to Deshaun Watson.
Listen. I get it. Fake news is everywhere these days. You can never be too careful when it comes to trusting what you see or hear on the internet. Nowadays anyone with an agenda can just come out and make something up out of thin air, and it's reported as fact. So are Eliot Shorr-Parks' pants on fire because he's a liar, liar?
Well that would make Brian Baldinger a liar, as well.

The passing game has been completely unimpressive. Anything that involves Deshaun Watson remaining in the pocket has been an adventure, and not since early in camp have we seen strings of consecutive completions in any 11-on-11 period.
…There just hasn’t been much consistency, and there hasn’t been much of anything more than 10 yards downfield. Watson threw bad interceptions after getting caught locking in on one receiver each day of the joint practices.
So now you have to wonder what exactly is Deshaun Watson refuting here? What "cap" could he possibly be calling? Clearly it's not the fact that he's thrown 3 interceptions to Reed Blankenship. Maybe he's calling "cap" on ESP saying he made a few really nice throws against good coverage. Maybe he thinks he didn't make any good throws during the 2nd day of joint practice, and just wants to make sure the correct story gets out there. Who knows.
All I know is that if there's any report that needed to be refuted this week, it's that the Eagles were taking cheap shots on Deshaun Watson. Fortunately we have Myles Garrett here to set the record semi-straight on that one.
Practice the right way and have good habits. That's what the Eagles do, and that's why you won't see any of them run to Twitter after every practice. There used to be some guys like that on this team, no doubt. But fortunately they're Kirk Cousins' problem now.
