Okay, I had to catch my breath there in the middle. Neymar claiming the hundreds of millions of dollars he's getting isn't the biggest factor in joining Al Hilal is so fucking outrageous that I'm forced to respect it.
There ain't a chance in hell Neymar joined Al Hilal for any other reason besides money. It's stupid and I hate everything about the Saudi Arabian league, but come on. Just admit it! Neymar is far from the first or last person to take the money to go help out Saudi Arabia, just admit that's why you did it. Remember, this is what he's getting:
According to The Sun, the talented forward has asked Al Hilal's owners for three luxury cars costing £510,000 combined - a Bentley Continental GP, an Aston Martin DBX and a Lamborghini Hurcana - as well as four Mercedes G Wagons for his entourage.
He's also requested a Mercedes van with a driver to be available at all times for him, his family and friends.
On top of all that, Neymar has also asked for a constant supply of Acai juice in his fridge, three saunas at his home, five full-time workers including a sous chef to assist his personal chef and two cleaners.
That's not where his requests stop, either.
Neymar also wants all costs of his day off expenses such as hotels, restaurants and cities to be covered by Al Hilal's owners, a private plane when he needs to travel, a pool at least 10 meters large and 40 meters long and for his house to have at least 25 rooms.
Of course that's not nearly as motivating as wanting to write new sports history. Sure, okay. If you really wanted to write sports history, you could go to a million other places and try to win their first trophy or something. You don't go to Al Hilal to write sports history, unless you want a ridiculous contract.
All that said, I do gotta hand it to Neymar. He knew he could get whatever he wanted from Saudi Arabia and he listed out as many ridiculous demands as possible. He even got the size of the pool down! Now, you don't need 25 rooms. That's far too many rooms. What are you going to do with that many rooms? I don't care how rich you are, that's just pointless. But I respect the shit out of listing demands and getting it met, even by blood money standards.
