Why Can't Patriots Fans Just Admit Their Team Sucks

I don't know why this is so controversial. The New England Patriots had the greatest dynasty in NFL history. As a Pats fan you should embrace that and talk your shit about it. I can respect that. My dad's whole family is from Boston, they all love the Pats, they've rightfully bullied me my entire life, and my team hasn't won a playoff game in 23 years.

I have no problem with Pat fans talking shit about the greatest dynasty of all time. I do have a problem with Pat fans not being able to admit that their team sucks this year. Let's just call it how it is. My boy told me the the other day that the Pats are going to win 10-11 games this year. In what, Madden franchise mode? C'mon now. You guys grew up on the greatest QB of all time, and now you don't know if you should start Mac, Zappe, or Malik. Your two best WR's are Juju and former Miami Dolphin Devante Parker. Stop acting like those guys are threats. They're not Deion Branch, Edelman, Wes, Moss, or Troy Brown. You guys know this. You know what great teams look like.

This Patriots team is not good, period. Every great franchise goes through this. You draft a QB who turns out to be an all-time great, and when the run is over you go through years of suffering, that's just how it works. I know it's a tough pill to swallow, but I've been swallowing the same pill my entire life. It's easier to just accept it and get excited for the regular season because that's all you'll have this year. Don't look at it as a bad thing. Look at it as an opportunity to enjoy an entire year of football. Your season no longer starts in January, it starts in July when the guys report to training camp.

The tables have finally turned. The Pats dominated for 20 years and now they will sit at the bottom of the AFC East, unless they draft the next messiah. Enjoy the grind, appreciate your wins, and loathe your losses. It'll get better, I promise.
