The Summer Of Jokic Is STILL Going Strong, This Time With Aaron Gordon Joining Him In Serbia To Help Raise Another Trophy

Serious question. When is the last time you think Nikola Jokic even thought about the game of basketball let alone picked one up? My guess is the second the clock hit 0.0 on June 12th, 2023. The moment the Denver Nuggets secured their first ever title, Jokic has cared about one thing and one thing only.

Getting back to Serbia to hang out with his horses.

Man that video still makes me smile, I don't think it'll ever get old.

Since being back in Serbia, we've certainly seen Jokic live his best life. Not a care in the world, just a guy back in his home country doing what he loves

which is watching his horses and winning more trophies. I mean I can't really remember a hot streak quite like what Jokic has been on since the playoffs started. It almost makes you wonder if this is just the beginning in terms of him winning titles because absolutely everything at the moment seems to be coming up Jokic with no signs of slowing down.

Which is why our latest update involving the best basketball player on the planet tells us the Summer Of Jokic is still very much alive and well

Maybe it's just me, but seeing Jokic be able to simply ride his bike around and everyone is just doing their own thing was very funny. This is literally the best basketball player on earth right now and you'd never know it. Nobody cares. No wonder why he must love being back home so much. It's also no surprise that Aaron Gordon made his way to Serbia to get in on the fun because it's certainly no secret how much he loves Jokic/the Nuggets. He's talked about how the only organization he'll be a part of is one that also employs Jokic and I would argue that the move from ORL to play next to Jokic basically rejuvenated Gordon's career. He played a huge role in the Nuggets winning that title and seems like the perfect fit. A guy who had to change his role, accepted it, thrived in it, and found a way to be a perfect complimentary piece to the best player on the team. That's exactly what you're hoping for as a Nuggets fan.

With chemistry being such an important piece of the NBA title puzzle, it sure does seem like the Nuggets are oozing with it. I guess it's hard for there not to be when you have such a humble and unselfish superstar like Jokic. Like, if you can't find a way to make that shit work, that's a you problem. It's why nothing we saw last year from the Nuggets feels all that unsustainable. They didn't make the Finals because they shot 5000% on 3PA like the Heat did. They didn't stink and then get hot halfway through the year like the Lakers. They were dominant from October through June, playing a style that got the best out of everyone on the roster. Why can't that keep on happening as long as this group is together?

For all we know, the Summer Of Jokic is about to turn into the Fall Of Jokic, followed by the Winter of Jokic and then the Spring of Jokic. The good news is that's fun as hell to watch
