You May Be Shocked To Learn The High School Football Team That Ran Out Through This Sign Lost By 42 Points

High school football is BACK, folks. Week 1 for most teams around the country is this Friday, but plenty of teams have been playing scrimmages in preparation for the upcoming season.

Such was the case for the Rockmart Yellow Jackets and Rome Wolves, who squared off on Thursday night for one final preseason tune-up. I would assume these scrimmages are usually pretty cordial as both teams are just trying to get a feel for where they're at heading into the season, but the Yellow Jackets took it upon themselves to up the ante in this one by running out of the above sign on Rome's home field.

I was unaware schools even made these banners for preseason scrimmages, but I guess this was in Georgia, where #ItJustMeansMore. I'd guess any school rolling up to a scrimmage with that banner must be pretty good. Let's see how it went for them.

Damn. I know the team had nothing to do with making that sign and it's all in good fun, but if you run out of that thing in a scrimmage, you simply can't lose by six touchdowns. I'm not even saying you have to win, but it has to be a competitive game.

If I were the Rockmart head coach, I'd tell the cheerleaders or whoever is in charge of the arts and crafts to maybe take it easy on the sign this week when the Yellow Jackets open their season at Cedartown.
