Johan Rojas Is Going To Obliterate Every Single 47.5 MPH Pitch Thrown To Him By A Position Player. That's A Big League Guarantee

There's a heat wave going through South Philadelphia right now, and the bats are scorching hot. Trea Turner is hitting again. Nick Castellanos is addicted to dingers. Hell, even JT Realmuto seems like he's snapping out of it.

So when the Phillies bullied the Twins pitching staff out of the game last night and they had to resort to putting position players on the bump? Johan Rojas decided he'd get in on the action, too.

First we have Jordan Luplow thinking this is all just fun and games with a little Craig Kimbrel impression. Guy's being dudes. Love to see the boys out there still finding ways to have fun and enjoy the game. That's what it's really all about at the end of the day, right?

WRONG. Dead fucking wrong. Because even though Kimbrel clearly loved the impression, and Rojas clearly had a little chuckle at it as well…Rojas don't play no shit. You get one goofy pitch for fun, and then it's back to business. If that next pitch is high in the zone and coming in at a cool 47.5 mph? You can bet your sweet ass he's going to blast that shit out of the park for his first career home run.

Think about how many legends have come through this game. How many of them can say they hit their first career home run off an outfielder? Can't be many of them. I bet fewer guys have hit their first career home run off a position player than guys who have hit their first career home run on their first career at-bat. It has to be an exclusive club. One that Johan Rojas is now apart of.

There's just something special going on with this team right now.
