No bullshit. This is what it’s all about folks. Coaches pulling no punches in terms of what needs to get done, but also inspiring them with a gem of a speech. It’s win or go home environment. You need to be firm but fair. You need to be part hard ass and part teddy bear and it’s a fine line to walk. The best in the country find a way to do it and it usually makes a difference in the result. There’s so many unpredictable factors in these games. They are 12 and 13 years old, the hall gets thrown around, runners make blunders on the bases, they swing at bad pitches etc etc. It’s mayhem. 

However, you always get one or two moments like this that remind you why sports are great. This coach did just that. All time speech. Told his kids what to do, kept them calm and i sported them to run through a wall.

Worked like a charm. 

Someone get that kid a new hat but man he can deal. I’m all in on this Utah team to beat Nevada and make Williamsport, how can you not root for a guy like that?
