Never Question Icons: Inter Miami Terminated Nick Marsman's Contract, Weeks After Saying He Didn't 'Think The Club Was Ready For The Arrival Of Messi'

You can say that Marsman was demoted from starting keeper and his salary wasn't worth it, but come on. You don't ever, EVER, question Messi. Inter Miami was a dogshit team before he arrived. That's just a fact, considering they were last in the MLS. Now they haven't lost in the four games Messi has played in. Seems like there's something there, I don't know. Maybe signing the best player of this era is worth it.

You know what? Marsman wasn't even wrong. Nobody is ready for the arrival of Messi outside of like 10 clubs in the world. That's just life with Messi. No offense to Marsman but why would you need security? You're now a backup goalie in the MLS. No one is breaking down the doors to snap a picture. Maybe the diehard Inter Miami fans like Rick Ross, but other than that? I can't think of one person.

Little bit of advice out there, don't publicly question your employer. This is what happens. All of a sudden you gotta start making some cuts and guess who is up on the list? Someone like Marsman. Overpaid, not playing and saying Inter Miami wasn't ready for Messi? See ya! Not to mention a little fella named David Beckham is the owner of the team. Pretty sure he knows what life is like when you come over to help save the MLS.

Tough break, but you had to know it was coming.
