It's one thing to not know that baseball teams can't trade draft picks. It's another to make a list of shitty quarterbacks, put it on television and go over it verbally, mentioning someone who passed away a year and a half ago at the age of 24.
How did NOBODY catch this? I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Colin isn't in the control room before his show starts making his own graphics, so somebody else had to make that and then presumably send it to at least one other person to put it on the air. Nobody in that whole chain of custody thought to say something about the fact that Dwayne Haskins tragically died more than a year ago?
I genuinely want to see what Colin's show prep looks like on a daily basis and how he consumes sports news. This was a pretty big story. Should have been relatively hard to miss for someone who needs to know what's going on in the sports world to be able to do his job.
The most insane part is that Cowherd genuinely has no idea Haskins died. He said his name and didn't stop to say, "Oh, sorry, that's not supposed to be on there. This list was originally made several years ago" He just kept on truckin'. Whoever informs him when his show ends that Haskins passed away in 2022 will be the first person to deliver that information to him.
That is sure to be an interesting conversation.
