Oh what's that? A little thing called wanting to kick the rest of the world's ass and prove you're a star? That right there is why we love Jalen Brunson and his new wife. Sure, it might be 'easy' for a guy like Brunson to move his wedding by a month for the pesky reason of playing in the FIBA World Cup so he can try to play in the Olympics too. But anyone who has been married or engaged, knows what I'm about to say.

Good luck telling your soon to be bride/groom/whomever that you're moving the wedding date. Go ahead and say it and see the reaction. Granted we're not worth millions like our good pal Jalen Brunson here and can get away with more stuff. Just tell them you want to move it up a month because you gotta play on your buddy's golf scramble team. Something along those lines and see the reaction. 

I heard this story last night with the single greatest American talking about it - Bill Raftery. I was blown away. Sure, I saw the videos of the Brunson wedding/Mikal Bridges recruitment to the Knicks. But I never in a million years would guess that Jalen moved it just to play for Team USA.

All I know is the rest of the world is so screwed because of this. You don't move a wedding, potentially piss off your wife and lose. That's all the motivation you need. You can't have her bring this up in a fight. One that's just eating at her and she blurts out 'you moved our wedding to finish 5th at the World Cup!' Can't have it.
