After Being Fired From Both The NBA And WNBA, Derek Fisher Has Been Hired As A High School Basketball Coach

Well this makes Derek Fisher the Benjamin Button of the basketball coaching world. After starting his head coaching career at literally the game's highest point, lead man for the New York Knicks, Fisher went 40-96 in the NBA until he got fired. Then he got hired by the LA Sparks of the WNBA, and posted a 54-46 record until he got fired. And now he's going all the way back to high school. What's next? Derek Fisher takes over for the 4th grade CYO team?

Listen I actually do respect this move. As funny as it is that he's quite literally working his way down the coaching ladder, he clearly loves the game enough to continue to find ways to coach it, no matter what the level. Because I can tell you one thing, if I had a net worth number like this next to my name, you would NOT see me coaching high school basketball.

Gotta be the richest high school coach in the country, no? Which is going to make it interesting if he has to put up with the same shit that the rest of high school coaches in the country deal with. Like, no chance that a Mom is calling Derek Fisher to complain about playing time, right? Then again, from what we all know about Derek Fisher, I don't think Coach will have any problems taking any phone calls from the Moms. Let's just hope the Dads don't come beat his ass after he does.
