On Friday Ben Griffin Talked About Needing Luck To Make The Playoffs, No Idea How Correct He'd Be Thanks To Justin Thomas' Heartbreak On 18

We saw what happened yesterday. Justin Thomas on 18 needed a birdie to qualify for the playoffs. Drive ended up over in the pine straw area and he actually hit a hell of a shot to give himself even a chance

Then it happened. One of the worst breaks I can remember in golf:

It wasn't a van de Velde situation or even a Mito Perreria where they hit an awful shot and lost that way. He hit a hell of a chip that did everything but go in the hole. You gotta be rewarded a little bit there instead you end up looking like this

At the same time, you had Ben Griffin sweating out whether or not he would be the 70th and last golfer in the playoffs. Personally, I think he should be removed from the playoffs for using the most overused gif of all time:

But hey he ended up doing just enough to be 70 that's what matters. Thomas meanwhile had the yips this year. It was bizarre to see. JT at his very best is easily one of the 10 best golfers in the world, if not top 5. Instead you had a bunch of missed cuts. You saw rounds in the 80s. He wasn't even close at times.

Hell you had Griffin say this after missing the cut this week:

'It'll probably take some luck.' Well you got it, Ben. I still have no idea how that JT chip didn't go in. I've watched it 10 times and each time I expect it to drop.
