Sturgill Simpson Has Made His Return...Under A New Name...On "The Righteous Gemstones"

Glory, glory, HALLELUJAH! Brother Marshall has dropped a single!

I think Sturgill Simpson is my favorite artist of all-time so any time he makes an appearance singing I am going to blog about it. There's nobody with a voice or a style quite like his and even if it is just a scene in a sitcom, it will turn your rib cage into a tuning fork. 

Sturgill is done recording and possibly touring. He's done 5 albums. His last scheduled tour was supposed to be in 2021 and it was canceled because he ruptured his vocal cords. His last album was "The Ballad of Dood And Juanita". When that was released he said that it would be the last album released under his name. I've been longing for new songs ever since. 

Well "Brother Marshall and The Choir Of Fire" ain't Sturgill's name. Give me a full album and tour of Brother Marshall. A voice that'll saw logs. A sound that makes you lift your eyes to the heavens. I wasn't looking for a gospel album. I wasn't asking for a cover of a Larry Gatlin song from 1979. Beggars can't be choosers though. If Sturgill is singing I will be a listenin' and a bloggin'

PS: "Brother Marshall And The Choir Of Fire" is an AWESOME name for a band.
