President Biden's Dog Is Still A Good Boy (Who Shouldn't Be Around The White House Anymore Unless They Hire Me)

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden ‘s dog Commander bit Secret Service officers at least 10 times between October 2022 and January, including one incident that required a trip to the hospital for an injured law enforcement officer, according to records from the Department of Homeland Security.

The conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch on Tuesday released nearly 200 pages of Secret Service records that it obtained through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. The group said it filed suit after the agency, a division of DHS, “failed to respond adequately” to its request last December for records about biting incidents involving the purebred German shepherd. The group said it filed the request after receiving a tip about Commander’s behavior.

The White House and the Secret Service appeared to play down the situation on Tuesday.

Ten times? We are talking about a dog biting someone ten damn times? If you didn't know, ten times is a lot of times to have the same dog bite a different person.

Almost every trainer will tell you that a dog who bites than often shouldn't be around large groups of people anymore. Hell, I'd bet most would say it's time to put the dog down if ten separate bites happened and you're not in the position to isolate the dog.

It is BONKERS to me that Commander hasn't been trained well yet. Besides having the normal resources that any President of the United States has, there are some VERY VERY good handlers and trainers on the White House grounds every day. The Secret Service utilizes dog trainers and handlers every day. Lots of those folks went to and taught at the same exact schools I did. The handlers are responsible for bomb detection and bite work at the most important building in the world. They have to train the dogs to work and stay focused while working at a place where there are thousands of people going in and out all day. There are big groups, small groups, intense yelling, intense celebration, and just generally an intense environment. The dogs all have to pass those tests and show that they are proficient in… ohh… no biting people. That's like phase one. Will the dog bite people without being told to? Yes? Next dog, please.

The handlers deal with stubborn dogs all the time so Commander shouldn't be some crazy nut they cant crack. BUT, if he is, he's gotta go. The White House could tweet xeet a request for a person with a large piece of property to take Commander cause he can't stay at the White House or really anywhere Biden is gonna be. Biden will be surrounded by people for the rest of his life and Commander just probably shouldn't be.

So while Commander is still a good boy, he needs to be a good boy away from the White House where he's been nothing but a bad boy. You can be a good boy but not the First Good Boy. It's sad but a fact.

That being said

Call me, Joe. I have the clearances and am ready to step in and train Commander. Let's live stream the training on CSpann. It's the content public access television has been begging for. The people need it but, more importantly, Commander needs it.
