You Have To Be Out Of Your Gosh Dang Mind To Be A Lacrosse Goalie These Days Now That Guys Are Shooting 121 MPH

The PLL All-Star Game and skills competition were last night in Louisville. The biggest winner of the night was the fact that lacrosse is now taking over middle America. Sold out crowd in Louisville for a lacrosse game is something you wouldn't have even been able to imagine just 10 years ago, but here we are.
The biggest loser of the night? Well that goes to anybody who either currently plays, or plans to become a lacrosse goalie in the future. Because you're either a literal insane person, or you just have a death wish if you want to stand in front of one of these shots.
Jarrod Neumann is the Michael Jordan of shooting the ball ridiculously fast. So granted, there aren't many people who can bring the heat like this freak can do it. But he set another record last night after blasting one 121 mph in the fastest shot competition, which should probably be considered lethal force.
One-hundred twenty-one miles per hour. Imagine taking that straight to the thigh? You'd have a charley horse for at least a fortnight.
And here's the thing--Jarrod Neumann is obviously a sick bastard. No doubt about that. He's a massive dude who has mastered the art of slinging the rock with a longstick. With that being said…he's also benefiting from modern stick technology. Lighter sticks, better stringing technologies, etc. I bring that up because that just means everyone is benefiting from modern stick technology. So even if you're a goalie not playing against Jarrod Neumann, every shot is still coming in at least 10-15mph more than they've ever been before. So good luck with that.
It shouldn't surprise you that our pal Doogs was enough of a maniac to get between the pipes for some of these shots.
Speaking of Doogs, he had the most important job of the weekend as a judge for the freestyle competition. Glad the PLL made sure to only trust the best and the brightest out there.
