American TikToker Facing 2 Years in Dubai Prison for Shouting in Public
NY Post - A Texas TikToker is trapped in Dubai and faces two years in prison after “screaming” at an employee of a rental car agency.
Tierra Allen — better known to her 182,800 followers as “Sassy Trucker” — has been stuck in the strict country since authorities whisked away her passport, the nonprofit group Detained in Dubai revealed Monday.
The Houston social media star, 29, claims the screaming stemmed from a verbal tussle between herself and the manager of a local car rental shop when she stopped in to pick up her personal belongings in April.
Alright America, we need to act fast. Do we have any dangerous weapons dealers, or international drug dealing spies currently detained that we can trade for the Sassy Trucker? Any sort of high-ranking political prisoner with ties to Dubai will do. If our country won't exhaust all of the resources at our disposal to save the Sassy Trucker, then what does that mean for the rest of us? That we can't treat customer service employees like shit across the country without fear of being reprimanded? Americans should feel comfortable screaming at low-level rental car employees when they aren't performing their jobs to our liking.
I watched the Sassy Trucker's content so you don't have to. I'd describe her as "not your regular old trucker". This trucker has a little bit more attitude than most. Don't tell the Sassy Trucker she doesn't belong on the road with the men unless you want a spicy reply and a finger wag in return. She can do everything the guys can and more.
Idk I didn't actually watch any of her videos but I'm pretty sure that's what's going on over on her TikTok. But to be fair to the Sassy Trucker, it's possible that this Dubai Rental car agency might not be on the up and up.
Allen’s credit cards, debit cards and cellphone had been impounded along with her rental car the day before the blowup, after she and her friend were involved in a minor traffic accident near the Arabian Gulf.
The manager allegedly demanded money in exchange for the possessions and reacted with hostility toward Allen.
Though she has not been jailed, Allen is incapable of leaving the country.
But the nonprofit believes Allen was detained as part of a blackmail scheme run by the car rental agency — and that some local cops may be in on it.
“It is extremely common for rental car agencies to open cases against customers as a means to extort them. The hope is that whomever they perceive to be a ‘wealthy foreigner’ will offer them cash in order to drop the case,” Stirling said in a statement.
But who am I to tell this rental car company of Dubai how to run their business scam. As I understand it, this is standard procedure in Dubai. I'm sure there's a ton of money to be made in scamming American TikTokers. If you're going to galivant across Dubai crashing rental cars and shouting at the locals, you have to expect that the government is going to throw the book at you. I bet Sassy Trucker didn't even know that 'Shouting in Public' was grounds for a 2 year prison sentence.
Police confiscated Allen’s passport and said they have spent the last three months weighing whether or not to prosecute the influencer for shouting in public, which is considered an offensive behavior punishable by up to two years in prison, according to Detained in Dubai CEO Radha Stirling.
Sassy Trucker really should have realized it was going to happen. If I were documenting my lavish vacation in Dubai, I would expect my trip to end up in some sort of international conflict. That's the problem with these Gen Z kids. No respect for the customs and traditions of other countries. You wouldn't go to Canada and not pour chili-cheese on your fries. You wouldn't go to Australia and not use the work cunt. You wouldn't go to Thailand and not make love to a prostitute. And you wouldn't go to Dubai without expecting to be scammed and thrown in a foreign prison for multiple years. You'll be fine Ms. Trucker. I'm sure your follower count is through the roof.
