Thursday Preview Numbers Are Out And Barbie Is Crushing Oppenheimer At The Box Office

That insane Barbie marketing budget seems to be working. The biggest box office battle in years might not end up even being a battle. To be fair I don't know that anyone is going to even come close to competing with it this year:

Barbie is apparently tracking for $158 million this weekend while Oppenheimer is tracking at $68 mil. Point to Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie. You do have to account for the factor of all the men who are being dragged to Barbie by their girlfriends and wives, while Oppenheimer might just be a movie for the fellas. I did get a good kick out of the AI generated trailer of "Barbenheimer" though:
