Some Things Are Bigger Than Sports: Justin Fields Makes Local Kids Day

Love to see it. I can count on one hand the amount of pro athletes I met as a kid. It's a rare occurrence and even if you did meet them, like the time I met Patrick Ewing after being voted in for an award in the local Nike league (no big deal), they don't give you much time. He didn't sign anything, sat there for the 4-5 group pictures he was required to take, and bailed out right after. Still a cool experience, but left me wanting more.

Athletes who do cool stuff for kids always stand out. Like the time JJ Watt went out of his way to say hello to kids. It was areal shame a certain loser reporter cut in front of them , but that's another story.

Either way, it's always awesome to see athletes make a kids day and Fields did that today. Proving some things are bigger than sports. Hell he even made a former hater change his tune.
