Universal Studios Trimming The Trees That The Writer's Guild of America Strikers Are Using For Shade Is The Pettiest Move I've Ever Seen

Big Cat put it best here but what a diabolical move by the studios. I don't really know all that much about the writer's strike besides the basics, but it almost makes me want to side with the studios that they are like "Oh you're on strike? Enjoy trying to be tougher than the fucking sun". Also hate to mention that it's in the hottest time in Earth's history right now according to everyone on Facebook. Then the reasonable side of me thinks that it's the most villain move of all time to kill a bunch of trees just to tell people that are asking for a living wage that you don't give a fuck. Is it even legal to chop trees like that? Doesn't the city own those? I don't know, but if you're a tree lawyer, look into it and get to the picket line.

Regardless, we'll always have this hilarious visual. Those trees are unreal. I don't know proper tree cutting form but this can't be it. And how don't we have a video of them doing this? Did some unpaid intern have to chop these down in the middle of the night as a task? Were those trees healthy? I'm no arborist either but pruning trees in July doesn't seem correct. Then again, we've heard that they're going to keep it going until the people on strike lose their apartments so I don't think they care in the slightest. Point goes to the petty kings on this one I guess.
