We're Getting Nuts With Today's Gambling Picks

I suck at this. I don't know what to tell ya, man. I feel like I'm reevaluating my entire existence here. I bet Jose Ramirez to go deep. I love J-Ram, but I'm setting myself up for failure by betting anyone on the Guardians to do anything offensively productive. Seriously, how was this team a game away from the ALCS last year? They suck.
Joey Wendle was my only bet that came close to cashing. You have a few good opportunities but only reached base once. Jeremy Pena was my other bet. He went 1-6 and had a disastrous three-pitch strikeout. I like Pena, but are we sure he's a long-term option for Houston? He has zero plate discipline, and Dusty Baker keeps batting him second for some reason. I know he had a had a legendary postseason last year and the Astros are in no position to trade for a shortstop but I don't know, something about him doesn't sit right with me. Alright, I've vented enough. You wanna get nuts? Let's get nuts.
Phillies -1.5 (+130) against the Padres
This is the only three picks I would consider "safe." The Padres came out hot in the first game of this series against Philidelphia (of course they did, I bet against them) but lost both games f a doubleheader. The Phillies have been trending upward for a bit, while the Padres have been trending the other way for a while. I think today might end up being the death knell for the Padres. Zack Wheeler is going for the Phillies. He's the ace of that ace. San Diego has yet to win or split a road series since June 9-11. That continues today.
Bryce Harper (+360) to homer against the Padres
Yeah, I'm all over this game. Yesterday, Harper homered for the first time since May 25th. I was stunned when I read that. Normally, that would be when you stay away from a home run prop considering Harper's power numbers are down since he came off of Tommy John Surgery, but when Harper goes deep, he doesn't have a lot of one-homer weeks. When he's hot, he's en fuego. Do you remember the postseason last year? He's also going up against Seth Lugo. He's 7 for 21 in his career with two home runs against him. I really like the value here. I think Harper starts a hot streak today.
Tim Anderson (+650) to homer against the Braves
As I said, we're getting nuts. Yesterday marked the one year anniversary since Tim Anderson last homered in a Major League game. The last time an elite shortstop fell off this quickly was, well, it was Javier Baez, who plays for my team, but besides him, it's been a while. This is the worst-case scenario for Anderson, whose future has become increasingly uncertain each day. He has a 14-million-dollar team option. Considering how he and the rest of the White Sox have performed this year, the odds of him being a free agent after this season are increasing. With that said, fuck it. His officially going a year without a long ball is a sign. He's going deep today.
