Richard Sherman, Who Once Told Skip Bayless He Sucked At Life, Is Reportedly In The Running To Cohost 'Undisputed'

With the understanding that Richard Sherman has chilled out a bit since he burst onto the scene in the Seattle Seahawks' Legion of Boom secondary, he's still one of the most fascinating personalities in the sports world. As part of Amazon Prime Video's team this past season, Sherman provided excellent analysis and plenty of humor, but it'd be cool to see him mano a mano against Skip Bayless as opposed to in more of an ensemble setting.

Even if you hated Sherman when he was a player, you can't deny he backed up a lot of the shit talking he did. Nor can you deny that he was a phenomenal entertainer regardless of how you felt about him. He's one of my favorite athletes of all-time, so it's awesome to see him with his own podcast and crushing it on TV.

OK now that I've gotten my gushing over Sherman out of the way, let's revisit the exchange between him and Skip from 2013 on First Take:

Valid points raised by Sherman here. I wouldn't go so far as to say Skip has accomplished nothing. Sure, maybe his soul is completely empty, but he has millions of dollars and has built a brand off of hating LeBron James among other schticks. Parlayed that into a hell of a TV career. World-class swindler if nothing else!

Obviously relations between Skip and Sherm must be better these days if a partnership is being considered. That'd be some seriously explosive debate. Skip clinging to a set of predetermined, paper-thin opinions with minimal facts to back his arguments. Sherman constantly coming over the top to dunk all over him. I feel like if Richard Sherman gets this Undisputed gig, he'll shame Skip into retirement for beating him so badly. That might compel me and other otherwise-uninterested parties to tune in.

I don't know who'd be better than Sherman to take over Shannon Sharpe's chair. From what I saw, Shannon was fine but he could be a little much and annoying at times. It was like two actors headlining a big studio movie, trying to one-up each other. Like Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face and Jim Carrey's Riddler in Batman Forever, for instance.

Skip likes to say he'd never back down from a challenge or a debate, as if it's some gladiatorial grudge match. Cracks me up. Silly semantics aside, he should put his money where his mouth is on that one. Bring in Richard Sherman. Don't duck him. Sherm would wipe the floor with Skip every single day and it'd lend itself to all sorts of hilarious content.

Question is, can Sherman handle Skip's bullshit every working day of the week for a period of years? If I were Sherm, I'd have a follow-up to that hypothetical question:
