Icon: Messi Is Truly Embracing Life In America By Arriving In Florida And Immediately Going Shopping At Publix

I don't know why but this entire picture is fucking hilarious. Messi, a guy worth hundreds of millions of dollars, just wandering around a Publix and no one giving a shit. People on the phone probably yelling that he's going too slow in the checkout line. Slightly different than if he was back in Argentina:

I'll say this, I actually feel bad for Messi here. There's nothing worse than learning a new grocery store. I moved about 2 years ago to the suburbs and have been wandering around aimlessly any time I go to the Kroger I live by now. Usually have to send a text to my wife asking where something is because I'm not used to the setup. There's nothing worse in the shopping world than that. I like to be efficient when I grocery shop. Get the stuff on the list, spend a couple extra minutes looking for goodies and then we're out.

Back to Messi, just smart to go to Publix. An unbelievable grocery store. I know in Cincinnati all we have is Kroger. Fine. But luckily my parents live in Charleston, SC which means they are surrounded by Publix. Nothing better than getting down there and going to get a Pub Sub. Go get yourself a Buffalo Chicken Pub Sub and you'll take a great nap right after it.

As for his grocery cart? I see some impressive buys. Big fan of the Little Debbies in there. Mini Wheats, sign me up. Looks like some Lucky Charms too. You can get that Silk milk out of here though. I draw a line there.

This is a great debate. I first thought Messi is a peach guy. I don't know why, just strikes me as a guy who likes that flavor. I think he might be a wild card though and go Black Cherry. I need to know Messi's High Noon flavor rankings.

PS: I'd avoid the sandals next time, Messi. You don't want to wander around the grocery store just in sandals. Running in for a Pub Sub? Sure. But not for a full on grocery store visit.
