Jets Get A W Over The Patriots In July As Darrelle Revis Absolutely Buries Asante Samuel On Twitter

Darrelle Revis is on his way to Canton this summer. A first ballot Hall of Famer who brought the meaning to the term 'Shut Down Corner' back to life. Revis was an absolute weapon at the position in his early days with the Jets making the Pro Bowl in four of his first five years and making 1st Team All-Pro in three of those years. Despite tearing his ACL and being traded to my Tampa Bay Buccaneers, after the next season, he went on to make three more Pro Bowls and one more 1st Team All-Pro in addition to winning a Super Bowl with the rival Patriots in 2014.

But let's rewind just a bit. Before this even reached Revis' desk. It all started with ESPN's Jeremy Fowler releasing his anonymous GM/Scout survey of the top players at the Cornerback position today. Jets CB Sauce Gardner, who had just finished his rookie season, was #2 on the list and former Patriot, Asante Samuel took an unprovoked shot at the former Bearcat.

He then took a shot at Revis Island in the replies.

Sauce went back at him, but the kill shot came from the man about to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. #24 Darrelle Revis.

Tough to start with a typo in sentence two, but the beatdown was too ferocious. And Mr. Pick Six's replies showed no respect to a true lockdown corner.

Revis knocks another one away in his legendary career with this killshot.

A big win for Gang Green in July.
