A 5-Star Defensive Lineman Changed His Mind From Michigan And Has Committed To Ohio State

5-Star DL out of Chicago. #3 Defensive Lineman, #14 overall player in the country. Top rated Defensive Tackle to commit to the Buckeyes and 19th highest rated player since 2000. 7th 5-star Defensive Lineman to commit to Ohio State since Larry Johnson came over in 2014. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

All of that is fine and dandy, but what realllllly puts icing on this cake is that he said he was all set on committing to Michigan (and Michigan fans were all set on celebrating his decision) until he officialy chose Ohio State late last night.

“Going into the visit, my fam was heavily set on Michigan. Throughout the (Ohio State) visit they were really still set on Michigan. But towards the end of it, coach Johnson sat us down & went over an in depth plan that they had for me.”

Oh no, Jim Harbaugh. Justin Scott said not only he was ready to commit to Michigan, but his whole family wanted him to do it as well! Sounds like he was on 3rd base, Jimmy, and you couldn't bring him home. What happened???

Here's a good laugh for anyone that needs one this morning:

How'd Day #19 go, buddy?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think it's time I pick myself off the floor from how the last two years against the rival have gone, and I need to get my swagger back. This was the sign I needed. Ohio State is still Ohio State and Michigan is still Michigan.

I know it's not the right thing to do. I know they've kicked our ass two years in a row, including on our own field last year. But something deep down inside me tells me that a blind squirrel found a few nuts, and the Buckeyes are about to restore their dominance starting this Fall in Ann Arbor. We may have lost two in a row, but they've lost 8 of 10 and 15 of the last 18.

Ohio State has better players and they have better recruiting. We just picked up our 4th 5-star in the class of 2024, and we're getting crystal balled for even more now. We have the better brand, atmosphere, and clearly assistant coaches. I even think we have the better head coach, except for one thing. We just need the big man at the top to instill that respect and hate for Michigan again, like his predecessors were elite at doing.

Happy 4th of July, Michigan fans. Enjoy your time in the sun while you still can.
